MUSEO VIVO DEL MARE

The museum is housed in the Palazzo Vinciprova, built in the 17th century by a family of Spanish merchants. Several aquariums reproduce the marine ecosystems characteristic of the Cilento coast. A multimedia section is dedicated to the sea turtles that come to lay their eggs on the beaches of Cilento; another deals with the problem of sea pollution. The first floor of the palace is dedicated to the Mediterranean diet and exhibits the personal library of Ancel Keys, thus paying tribute to this illustrious guest.
