It is one of the most popular places in town, serving unique local dishes derived from the national gastronomy: gorditas are meat and vegetable preparations on thin corn cakes, chingaderas are a kind of chilaquiles covered with melted cheese and chivichangas are a kind of roll filled with meat and beans, all in a sauce with melted cheese (a kind of giant burrito ). The place ("my grandmother's house") lives up to its name wonderfully. Delicious.
