All around the mine are the ruins of three castles.

Yataki-jô is located at 634 metres above sea level. It was built in the th century to protect the silver mine. At its feet, you can find the Voie - Okidomari route.

Yahazu-jô dates from the th century and is located on the other side of the Yunotsu - Okidomari route. It was planted at 480 metres of altitude and protected the mine.

Iwami-jô was also built in the th century on the road to Nima.
