NUUK ART MUSEUM

A few minutes walk from the centre, Nuuk has a very important art museum. The permanent exhibition contains an impressive collection of paintings, watercolours and drawings including recent artists such as Miki Jacobsen, Buuti Pedersen, Naja Rosing Asvid or Anne-Birthe Hove. The museum exhibits a large collection of sculptures (soapstone, bone, wood and ivory) from all over Greenland. In 2007, a 230 ^m2 annex was opened for temporary exhibitions dedicated to a new Greenlandic artist each time.
