NUUK MARATHON

In the middle of summer, Nuuk hosts a marathon and a small art and music festival. The race is reputed to be particularly difficult, with many steep slopes to push the racers over their limit! It runs alongside beautiful houses including those of the colonial port and the new district of Qinngorput. The route is 21 km long and the riders then return to the same route to finish. Participants must also prepare for bad weather (wind, rain, cold). The time is usually 15% longer than a classic race.
