PAAMIUT MUSEUM

The building dates from 1839 and belonged to the Danish administrator at the time. The city museum hosts archaeological finds (suggesting that the area has been populated at different times since 1500 BC) and is based in the workshop of a former carpenter. You will also find exhibitions on local crafts, photos of the whaling season. The museum can also give you the key to open the small peat house nearby. It also houses a small shop and the local tourist office.
