TEA - TOLEDO ECOTURISM ASSOCIATION

This cooperative organizes all ecotourism activities in a dozen Mayan villages: Laguna, Blue Creek, Pueblo Viejo, San Jose, Barranco, San Miguel, San Antonio, San Pedro Columbia, Santa Elena/Santa Cruz. The principle is simple: accommodation is provided by small community hotels or by families, often Mayan, who take turns, the aim being for everyone to benefit from this welcome financial windfall in this part of the world.
