ETHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM

If you intend to visit the Chittagong Hill Tracts, this museum will be of interest to you. It presents the different ethnic groups in Bangladesh, many of whom are present in the mountains east of Chittagong. The museum opened in 1974 and it would appear that some windows have not been reviewed since then. Thus, the presentation of the tribes may sometimes appear caricature, or even condescending.
