Built in 1928 after six years of construction, the Capitol of Olympia (or Washington State Legislative Building) is both a workplace for the government of the state and a symbol of freedom and democracy. It is the central work of five historic and administrative buildings designed by the architects of New York Walter Wilder and Harry White. Since its inauguration, the Capitol has suffered three major earthquakes, the last of which occurred in February 2001.
Guided tours of the different buildings are organised every day. We learn a thousand and a secret about this superb building, as well as returning to the Houses of Members and senators. To see!
