This border post (Granični prelaz Jarinje, Vendkalimi kufitar në Jarinjë) is located in Serbia, a few meters past the border. However, it is named after the neighbouring Kosovar village of Jarinje/Jarinja (80 inhabitants, all Serbian) which enjoys beautiful hilly landscapes. The crossing point controls both the M22-3 road ("31" in Serbia) and the railway line leading from Mitrovica to the small town of Raška (population 6,500), which is the heart of historic old Serbia.
