Open to vehicles since 2021, this border crossing (Granični prelaz Kruševo-Šištavec, Pika kufitare Krushevë-Shishtavec) finally allows easy access to the nine Albanian villages inhabited by the Gorans, the largest of which is Šištavec/Shishtavec (1,800 inhabitants). On the Kosovo side, Kruševo/Krushevo (850 inhabitants, 48% Gorans and 43% Bosnians) stretches out in a narrow valley at an altitude of 1,150 m with several cheese shops and restaurants.
