CERROS BEACH RESORT

This is a place off the beaten track, a magnificent seaside garden from which it's easy to cycle to the ruins. The little huts, which resemble traditional Mayan huts, are built from local materials and are absolutely charming, although you'll probably spend the day slumped in front of the sea in a deckchair; unless you decide to go on a little bird and butterfly watching excursion, immersed in nature.
