Small channel to the north of the marine reserve, attracting manatees during the mating season from May to September
You'll usually pass by on your way to Hol Chan Reserve on your way to Ambergris Caye, which is sometimes more popular with tourists. However, it's a beautiful and similar alternative, much less crowded and where you can observe dozens of rays, nurse sharks and pretty coral gardens in peace and quiet. To the north of the reserve is a small channel that attracts manatees during mating season (May to September).
