It is a historical sanctuary that hosts both an ecological reserve rich in birds (more than 100 species listed) and an archaeological site that was the first capital of the Sican or Lambayeque, later than the Moches. A prosperous civilization that knew how to cultivate, exploit minerals and create treasures of goldsmithery. It would be an El Niño phenomenon that would have destroyed this empire, later rebuilt in Tucume. The Huaca del Oro and the Huaca de las Ventanas are two hills that dominate the valley. It is better to explore the place with a tour or by taxi, the Bosque de Pomac is vast. Entrance: S/ 10, open from 9am to 5pm, guides: S/ 30.
