On the back road, if you have time, visit Arkhangelskoe, a distance of 27 km from Moscow. Unfortunately, the palace built by a French architect, De Guesne in the th century, is still in restoration. The park is a pleasant promenade. It is adorned with numerous statues and preserves a theatre, built by the architect Bové, where jouaient actors played. The estate became the property of the Youssoupov family in 1810. You can visit the funeral chapel.

Opening time and information on ARKHANGELSKOYE

Exhibitions open Wednesday to Friday from 10.30am to 5pm (the cash desks are open until 4.30pm). The park is open every day from 10am to 9pm in summer, except Monday, Tuesday and last Wednesday of each month. Admission for the park and the houses: RUB 500.
