Located one kilometer south of Shirahama beach, Saki-no-yu Onsen is considered the oldest onsen of the archipelago, just that! We go there to enjoy its outdoor baths, rotenburo, which face the Pacific Ocean. It is set in the middle of rocks, on which the waves are continuously crashing, generating sea spray that can be felt right into the baths. The setting is really unique for this type ofonsen. It is best to avoid the busy hours to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.
