Two hundred kilometers south of Ensenada, San Quintín is a charmless town that is relentlessly dedicated to intensive agriculture based on the shameless exploitation of laborers from Oaxaca and Guerrero. In 2014, their strike was to be harshly repressed by the police, under the orders of a few millionaire families. Still, there are a couple of attractions that may be worth a half-day foray: the lovely restaurant and museum Le Molino Viejo and the Bahía Falsa. Hidden behind old volcanoes and along a wild coastline are thirty oyster farms. You won't find fresher oysters in the area!
