TANJI VILLAGE MUSEUM

Abdoulie Bayo, a true enthusiast, founded this Gambian museum which focuses on the ethnography and natural history of the country. In the first part of the museum, you will pass through rooms that present the fauna, flora, crafts and everyday objects. Then, one walks in the garden where works of art and reconstructions of traditional huts are displayed to better understand traditional Gambian life. You can also sleep in the museum, which has a simple and well-maintained camp built in the traditional way.
