This 17th century basilica is typical of the Catalan Renaissance, which is characterized by simple and austere forms.

This church is located at a crossroads between Barcelona and Aragon and between New Catalonia and Old Catalonia. With its baroque elements, gothic structure and Italian-inspired moldings, the Basilica of Santa Maria d'Igualada will delight all lovers of architecture and history. Indeed, this church built in the 17th century exhibits austere forms, traditional of the Catalan Renaissance. Admire the altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin, by Josep Sunyer and Jacint Morató, supported by a representation of the four seasons.
