HERSCHELL CARROUSEL FACTORY MUSEUM

Allan Herschell's carousel factory celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2015. The large 1916 riding arena and its hand-carved wooden horses that can be ridden have been continuously renovated since 1984. Young and old alike can discover the history of the golden age of the rides, their various animals carved over the years and their barrel organ. Woodcarvers demonstrate their art while the impressive music paper perforating machine recounts the ingenuity of another era.
