The visit to the Grand Canyon Caverns leads to a depth of 64 m via an elevator installed in 1962
Formed 65 million years ago, the Grand Canyon Caverns were discovered in 1927. The temperature is 13°C year round. With a humidity level of only 2%, these are the largest caves of their kind in the United States, and there are logically very few stalactites and stalagmites. The visit lasts 25 or 45 minutes, depending on the choice made at the reception desk, and leads to a depth of 64 m via an elevator installed in 1962. The site conceals many secrets and the guides reveal some of them. Gas station, restaurant, motel and camping.
