This large rodeo is held near Gallup at Church Rock in Red Rock Park. The events take place over two days.

The big rodeo is held near Gallup at Church Rock in Red Rock Park. After several years of hiatus due to the 2019 Covid crisis, the event will celebrate its 73rd anniversary in 2023. Lions organizers are a charitable and humanitarian community. The Gallup Lions Club has been in the area since 1947. The rodeo events are held over two days. They are roughtstock (unsaddled) and timed events in which cowboys and cowgirls compete against wild horses and bulls.
