Travel Guide Moutsso

After Chatili, we can go up into a parallel valley, the Andaki Valley. Set on a rocky peak rising to 1,880 m, the desert village of Moutsso is made up of a magnificent group of fortified medieval houses. This aoul has a lot of allure, the towers almost naturally marrying the rock. When the village was inhabited, the inhabitants had a particular cult: they honoured the Archangel. According to a legend, these fierce warriors and hunters protected a sacred icon representing the Archangel. The village is still difficult to access, and the harsh environmental conditions probably explain its abandonment.
