CHEMBRA PEAK
A 2,100 m peak to visit in the morning, with a 3-hour climb to enjoy an extraordinary panorama of mountains and plains
Located 8 km south of Kalpetta, Chembra Peak (2,100 m) is Wayanad's highest point. A pass must be purchased from the Forest Office in Meppady to gain access. Only 200 people a day are admitted to the site. The climb takes three hours and offers a unique panoramic view of the mountains and plains. In fine weather, you can even see Calicut! The best time to visit is in the morning, and don't forget your sunscreen and waterproof clothing: the weather can change rapidly.
