MAIOMBE FOREST

Maiombe Forest is located in the northern part of the province, bordering Congo-Brazzaville and the DRC. It covers a territory of 290 000 hectares in Angola.

This low-altitude rain forest, consisting of many tree species with fast growth, often exceeding 50 m high, is the biggest tourist attraction in Cabinda. Here we are in the "kingdom of the woods"! Wildlife also interesting with several species of primates, elephants and many, many birds.
