The Ice Hotel has been reborn on the shores of Lake Bâlea every winter since 2005. It's built from blocks extracted from the glacial lake, sculpted by artists for a month on a different theme each year. Temperatures hover around 2°C! In the ice chambers, you'll find plenty of blankets and animal skins to keep you warm. This tourist attraction also boasts a church and a bar-restaurant serving traditional specialities and mulled wine. Access is by cable car.
