Every year since 1984, several dozen sailboats have sailed on the waters of Lake Malawi for a 6-stage race and some 500 km. For a week, experienced helmsmen and simple boaters are transformed, by necessity, into freshwater sailors! The teams, from Africa and elsewhere, luff, turn and weave on the wave of the immense body of water and generally stop on the country's most famous beaches such as Cape Maclear, Senga Bay, Likoma or Chintheche. If you are free between late June and early August, the time when the Lake Malawi Sailing Marathon is held, graze your skirt and get underway!
