SAINT-GEORGE'S CHURCH (KOSTOL SV. JURAJA)

3 km after Stakčin, turn left just before the dam. Continue for two kilometres on this small road and you will find the tiny rural village of Jalová and its 90 inhabitants. Overlooking the houses, it is a magnificent example of folk architecture with its onion dome and stone foundations. It dates back to the end of the 18th century. The rarity of the Jalov church is its iconostasis, older than the building itself.
