MANTRA SURFING AND ADVENTURE SPORTS CENTRE

The best waves of Karnataka are caught in Mulki, halfway between Mangalore and Udupi, ideally from May to June and September to October. An ascetic American who is passionate about surfing has set up an ashram that combines spiritual elevation and sports activity (surfing but also kayaking, stand-up paddle, cycling, jet-skiing...). Meals served are 100% vegetarian, smoking and drinking alcohol are strictly prohibited. Couples are also asked to practice sexual abstinence. Here, surfing is only one more tool to clear your mind and it is practiced with yoga and meditation.
