CONCURSO DE LA CARRETA

Each year, this contest allows the election of the best decorated cart. Supported and organized by UNESCO to promote cultural goods considered as intangible world heritage, these festivities highlight the masterpieces of Costa Rican tradition. Different regional communities present beautiful carts, built and decorated. Some even use them as carriages: male bovines join the work of art as draught animals. A beautiful immersion in Costa Rican culture and traditions.
