Castle of Count Egmont in Zottegem with a city library with 2 statues and 2 paintings.

The Count of Egmont is an omnipresent figure in the town: two statues bear his likeness, the castle bears his name and two paintings depict him. You can also visit the crypt of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption where he was buried with his wife. Today, the Count's château houses the town's library. So don't hesitate to take a stroll through the castle and soak up its history. In fine weather, it's also a pleasure to stroll through the park.
