Turtle located on the tip of the rocky spur of the citadel in Namur, a work of Fabre, ideal for walks
Installed in 2015 as part of a cross-exhibition between F. Rops and Jan Fabre, two artists, one Walloon and the other Flemish, who were not contemporaries, the Turtle is now permanently installed. On the tip of the rocky spur of the Citadel, Fabre's work seems to watch over the Confluence (the mouth) and has become a walking destination in itself. Gilded, glittering in the distance, the Turtle is mounted by a figure portraying Jan Fabre himself.
