Coup for this charming ranch overlooking Owens Valley from Carroll Creek Canyon. In addition to offering the possibility to stay in a unique setting, De La Cour produces lavender and organic vegetables in the many parcels of property. Namely: The ranch does not have electricity and lighting is made entirely to propane lamps. On the other hand, wooden bungalows have stoves, ovens, barbecues and hot water. You are here in the best place to disconnect, far from television, Internet and telephone networks.

Me and my boyfriend were inspired after going to the western movie museum with all the horseback riding here in Lone Pine. This was the first place I called to do a last minute ride on the same day and it was possible!
The horses were so lovely and clearly happy and well taken care of. Julie made sure that we, and especially my boyfriend who sat on a horse only 4 times before this, was super comfortable and gave him riding instructions and tips. He even did some trotting and cantering!
It was just the two of us on the ride, so we also had some nice personal chats with Julie.
5 stars for sure! Beautiful breathtaking scenery while riding.

I called for some information regarding the road status, which they are by no means required to help me with considering I wasn’t even asking about the ranch. But the lady who answered the phone was caring and super nice, she answered my questions and gave me some helpful trail advice.

So much fun at this farm, they can accommodate large groups and will give you great information about harvesting lavender.

They also sell lavender products to take home!
