A must-see when in Yaoundé. The park is an hour's drive from the city. It's very well maintained and the monkeys live in good health, well fed on bananas, cabbage, pineapple and carrots. You'll see some very fine specimens of gorillas, mandrills and pattas. Children love it here, except perhaps for the chimpanzees, seen last, which are a little frightening because of their exuberance and aggression. Beware of throwing sticks, dirt and... poo, of which they are great specialists!

One is a little surprised to see electric fences everywhere but is to protect the monkeys from poaching which unfortunately still rages in Cameroon. But all the monkeys are treated. The visit is worth it. It is true that the chimpanzees balance on visitors everything they find. My buddy received a package feet... Nice nevertheless
