At the exit of the city, there is this monument erected in 2006, in memory of Chinggis Khaan, and to celebrate the 800 years of Mongolian unity. It is located at the top of the hill, from where there is a beautiful view of the city and the Orkhon River. Three maps of the Mongolian Empire, before and during Chinggis Khaan, are presented. Vendors of all kinds of souvenirs try to sell their junk to the visitors, including counterfeits from China. So beware.

ce monument est assez moderne mais l'on peut voir les 3 cartes de l'empire mongol ,surtout tournez dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, construit sur une colline on a un bon aperçu de la ville de kharakhorum
