The Malatapay market is a big market, agricultural among others, which takes place every Wednesday. It is close to the boat landing for Apo Island. Roosters and carabaos pose for potential buyers, and sometimes you can even attend auctions. Handicrafts, very popular in Dauin, are obviously king here: rattan bags and mats galore, as well as every fresh product, fruit or vegetable imaginable. Perfect to take the pulse of the local life and why not to taste new flavors.
