CATACOMBS (KATAKOMBY)

Rather soapweed visit. The catacombs welcomed the members of the Jesuit order after their death. From 1676 to 1783, more than 200 bodies were deposited here. The corpses are well preserved, thanks to a aeration system that momifie them. In the 1930 s, the church underwent work and canals of aeration were buried. This change in air conditioning has deteriorated many bodies, which is why we can only see thirty. The others, too damaged to be shown, were buried at the Saint-Jacques cemetery.
