Most of the seventy-five tombs in this necropolis are in a poor state of preservation and of little interest. In its day, this valley was home to royal wives, as well as family members such as princes and princesses. Only a few tombs are open. The most famous (very expensive and subject to a visitor quota) is that of Nefertari (no. 66), but there is also that of Queen Thiti (no. 52), which is fairly well preserved, and that of Amon-her-Khopechef, one of the sons of Ramses III.The basic ticket costs LE 120 and gives access to two tombs. Some tombs are additional.
