The second largest island in the Mamanucas, Malolo Lailai is located 50 minutes by boat from Port Denarau. With its small marina, the archipelago stands out as the island of sailors. The Fiji Regatta has been held on this island in the past, but has moved to other islands over the years. The event attracts sailors from all over the world. It is also the departure point for many cruises to the Yasawas and further afield in the South Pacific. The island is also popular with surfers, particularly for tackling the famous wave known as Cloud Break.
