Everyone - even you - is invited to compete in this most famous camel and ostrich race in the West.

This is the most famous camel and ostrich race in the West. Imported in the 19th century to transport salt across the deserts of Nevada, these first were eventually replaced by the railroad. So, in 1959, the people of Virginia City got the idea to organize races with them. Every year, jockeys converge on the city to try to win the trophy. Everyone is invited to compete, even you; all you have to do is find a sponsor.
