CAVES OF MLADEČ (MLADEČSKÉ MLADEČ)

A gigantic complex of caves stretches under the ground of the hill of Třesín, at the gates of Mladec: an underground maze made of rooms connected by corridors studded with concretions, stalactites and stalagmites. Numerous traces of dwellings dating back more than 35,000 years have been discovered there: fireplaces, human and animal skeletons... A real paradise for archaeologists.
