Glen Innes is a small town on the New England Highway, about 90 km north of Armidale and the same distance south of Tenterfield. It's a quiet place where you can easily find food and lodging for the night, as well as a pleasant lunch break during the day. Founded by pioneers of Celtic origin, it retains many traces of its past (see the standing stones of the Australian Standing Stones) and is the Celtic County of New England. The Australian Celtic Festival is held every May. Nearby, Washpool National Park offers you the chance to discover the beauty of the rainforest.
