One can discover with interest the very lively fishing port and its small market of marayeurs, but also the shipyard where the magnificent wooden dhows are cleaned and restored, which launch their wire traps an hour offshore. The fishermen, mainly Indians, let them fill up for several days, feeding the fish trapped in their pots until they are full enough to bring them up. One can also appreciate the talent of the cabinetmakers restoring the wooden hull of the fishing boats with gouje.
