Built in 1982, this fire station closed in 2012 was transformed into a contemporary art center in 2017 by the "culture queen": sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Bin Khalifa al Thani. The venue has an exhibition hall that hosted Picasso's Studios in 2020 and, in 2022, Figures of Speech by American artist and designer Virgil Abloh. Other halls exhibit artists in residence. Be sure to check out the wall of street art murals from Qatar Museums' Jedariart project outside. There is also a healthy café.
