Located in Metairie, Louisiana, the Hampton Inn is a classic 3-star hotel. It's ideally located just 11.3 km from the Audubon Zoo, 12.9 km from downtown New Orleans and 14.5 km from Louis Armstrong International Airport. Rooms are traditionally furnished and feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, desks, coffeemakers, mini-fridges and microwaves. Some superior rooms also feature a sitting area with sofa bed. Complimentary services include parking, weekday evening parties, hot breakfast (or takeaway breakfasts on weekdays) and shuttle service to the airport, city center and nearby attractions. The hotel also features an outdoor pool, patio and fitness center. Guests particularly appreciate the hotel's location, close to shops, restaurants and bars.
Tried calling and the night clerk was very inept at his job. First, he could not put two sentences together. Second, when I tried to get clarification, he couldn’t follow. He became frustrated then wanted to get off of the phone with no resolution in sight. My son, in his frustration, said a cuss word while trying to explain to the clerk again as he still was not comprehending. The clerk freaked out and hung up on him. We called a bit later and got another clerk who gave us a name to call the next day.
My son called and got the same poor inept clerk who freaked out the night before. There was no cussing but the poor fella lied and said you’re using same language as you did last night and hung up on him.
I will go higher up to resolve this as well as suggest this person be released from his position or at best get proper training. When I say he was clueless about what we needed …
We will not be staying here again. My advice to anyone considering it, do yourself a favor and don’t.
