The site is open from 6am to 5pm, and the entrance fee is 60 LE. The el-Kab (formerly Nekheb) site is located away from the usual circuits. It is rather accessible to travelers in Dahabieh. Nevertheless, on the road, you can insist to go there. It is in this city that the worship of the goddess Nekheb was honored. She is not given any particular filiation but she has two husbands, Horus of Nekhen and the god Sebek. Her representation is known as a vulture with wings adorned with a thousand colors. Pharaoh, when he is king of Upper Egypt, wears the vulture's head on his forehead and the goddess Nekhbet protects him in this way.
