The island is fairly flat and measures approximately 64 km in length and 27 km in width. King Island is renowned for its natural beauty, its lighthouses, the shipwrecks that line its rocky coastline interspersed with long white sandy beaches and its deep green pastures. King Island is the source of most of the milk produced in Tasmania and is home to the largest cheese factories. It is also where rainwater is harvested and sold in bottles under the very poetic name of Cloud juice. To get here, you have no other choice than to fly from another Tasmanian city - regular flights.
