One of Australia's finest art galleries, it is housed in an iconic building in Daylesford.
Perched high in the hills, The Convent occupies a former 19th-century convent transformed into a contemporary art gallery. Over 4 floors, works by local and international artists are displayed in a setting steeped in history, with stained glass, wood panelling and stone walls. Paintings, ceramics and photographs coexist with experimental, sometimes immersive works using light, sound and other materials. The Bad Habits café and Altar Bar complete the visit, with simple plates, local wine and a beautiful view of the gardens.
