With a population of over 9,000, Forbes is the administrative center of the county of the same name, in central New South Wales, 380 km west of Sydney. The town is located in the center of an important agricultural region and is crossed by the Newell Highway. It is a good place to stay overnight, but there is little to visit. There is, however, the McFeeters Motor Museum. Open seven days a week, it has many vintage cars, which will surely please the enthusiasts. And for the budding birdwatcher or expert, head to the Gum Swamp & Bird Hide, a beautiful bird watching area.
