Deadman's Cay is located 35 miles south of Stella Maris. The town, which is home to most of the local population, stretches along the Queen's Highway for several kilometres without ever being a real centre. The island's second airport is nearby, serving Clarence Town and is quite active. Not far from the non-existent centre of Deadman's Cay are the ruins of an old plantation that can still be visited on its own. Southwards a little after the village of Pettys is the Hamilton Cave, the largest in the Bahamas and where you should not miss a stop to observe the many bats that populate it.
